Graduation Requirements

Credit Requirements

Students must satisfy the following subject requirements before graduating.   

English.........................40 Credits  

Mathematics...............30 Credits  

Science.........................20 Credits  

Social Science............30 Credits  

Health...........................10 Credits  

Foreign Lang/Arts.....10 Credits  

Vocational Ed............20 Credits  

Electives.....................30 Credits

Total                        190 Credits  

Attendance Requirements

The student must maintain at least 85% attendance of days enrolled for each year in order to meet graduation requirement.

Grade Point Average (GPA)

Students must maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative high school grade point average as a requirement for graduation. 

Community Service Hours

(To be updated   2022-23)  Students must complete 60 hours of community service. Students must complete and summit the Salinas Union High School District (SUHSD) Community Service Contract to MTHS office at least one week before for prior approval before doing the service.   Also, 20 hours of the 60 hours required may be school-related, and the students must have at least 10 hours in two different categories (Board Policy #6142.4)
