Principal's Message

Dear Mount Toro Students and Parents,

Welcome to Mount Toro High School. Something special is happening here and we want you to be part of it! Mount Toro offers you the opportunity to make changes that can help you become a successful high school student! We are proud of our school and are dedicated to supporting and guiding you to achieve your educational goals while preparing you for the world of college and work.

We are a small high school with about 230 students. The small size allows us to work closely and more personally with students. Students attend school for 5.5 hours each day. Teachers provide direct instruction. The teachers and the support staff are dedicated to the goal of student success. Students at Mount Toro are successful. In order to do so, we expect students to work diligently, attend regularly, do their best on all tests, and demonstrate good character. We want you to Be M.O.R.E.- Motivated, Organized, Respectful and Engaged. Students are successful when parents, community, and the school agree together to support these efforts.

Mount Toro High School provides an opportunity for students to be successful in an alternative setting. Our goal is for students to earn their high school diploma, improve their academic standing, develop positive character traits, gain useful social skills, provide opportunities to continue their education beyond high school, and to be prepared for the world of work. This is the new beginning you desired, please make the most of this new start. Together we are able to make powerful changes. Please bring your best intentions and desires to do well and we trust the best result will happen for you.

Estimados estudiantes y padres de Mount Toro,

Bienvenidos a la Escuela Secundaria Mount Toro. ¡Algo especial está sucediendo aquí y queremos que seas parte de ello! ¡Mount Toro te ofrece la oportunidad de hacer cambios que pueden ayudarte a convertirte en un estudiante de secundaria exitoso! Estamos orgullosos de nuestra escuela y estamos dedicados a apoyarlo/a y guiarlo/a para que logre sus metas educativas mientras lo prepara para el mundo de la universidad y el trabajo.

Somos una escuela secundaria pequeña con alrededor de 230 estudiantes. El tener un grupo pequeño nos permite trabajar más cerca y más personalmente con los estudiantes. Los estudiantes asisten a la escuela durante 5.5 horas cada día. Los maestros brindan instrucción directa. Los maestros y el personal de apoyo están dedicados a la meta del éxito estudiantil. Los estudiantes de Mount Toro tienen éxito. Para hacerlo, esperamos que los estudiantes trabajen diligentemente, asistan regularmente, den lo mejor de sí en todos los exámenes y demuestren buen carácter. Queremos que seas M.O.R.E.- Motivado, Organizado, Respetuoso y Comprometido. Los estudiantes tienen éxito cuando los padres, la comunidad y la escuela se ponen de acuerdo para apoyar estos esfuerzos.

La Escuela Secundaria Mount Toro brinda una oportunidad para que los estudiantes tengan éxito en un entorno alternativo. Nuestro objetivo es que los estudiantes obtengan su diploma de escuela secundaria, mejoren su posición académica, desarrollen rasgos de carácter positivos, adquieran habilidades sociales útiles, brinden oportunidades para continuar su educación más allá de la escuela secundaria y estén preparados para el mundo laboral. Este es el nuevo comienzo que deseaba, aproveche al máximo este nuevo comienzo. Juntos somos capaces de hacer cambios poderosos. Traiga sus mejores intenciones y deseos de hacerlo bien y confiamos en que obtendrá el mejor resultado.
